How labour disputes work

Most private-sector disputes start with a complaint to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), which attempts an amicable settlement. If that fails, the case goes to the labour court. The main law is Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021. DIFC and ADGM have their own employment laws and courts.
